Diversified Maintenance Partners With First Responders Kits4Kids to Bring Comfort to Children

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.–Diversified Maintenance, a leading service provider of integrated facility maintenance and janitorial services, partnered with Birmingham First Responders and Playtime Edventures to assemble kits designed to comfort children facing distressing emergencies. This initiative is part of Playtime Edventures’ First Responder Kits4Kids initiative, which provides thoughtfully curated kits to help ease children’s anxiety during emergencies. The event highlights Diversified Maintenance’s dedication to meaningful community initiatives, an important part of the company’s core values and culture.

Each kit includes carefully selected items such as disposable play pads, crayons, noise-cancelling headphones, and toy cars, all aimed at engaging and soothing children in crisis situations. “Supporting our communities goes beyond our daily work; it’s about showing up in meaningful ways,” said Ciara Lilly, Senior Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at Diversified Maintenance. “It’s inspiring to see our team and first responders come together to make a real difference in the lives of children. At Diversified Maintenance, we remain committed to making a lasting impact through partnerships that truly matter.”

This initiative builds on Diversified Maintenance’s ongoing commitment to supporting children in need. In December, the company sponsored 300 Playtime Therapy Bed Sheets for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Muma Children’s Hospital in Tampa. As the Company continues to expand its community engagement efforts, it looks forward to more collaborations that create a lasting impact for children and families in the communities it serves.
